The Perfect Show for Your "Get Creative @ Your Library" Summer Reading Club Theme

Itty Bitty Vaudeville

Itty Bitty Vaudeville is a delightful, interactive show of multicultural music and storytelling celebrating the Connecticut theme, "Be
Creative@Your Library."

Itty Bitty Vaudeville” puts the audience in starring roles: singing along, dancing, even acting out a funny story in costume, all as the show plays, under the direction of Maichack. No rehearsal is necessary, as this fun and gentle storyteller and musician guides volunteers to take part in the course of the show, using entertaining folktales and tunes as the basis.

Ms. Maichack is a national award-winning singer, storyteller and multi-instrumentalist who has performed some 3,000 shows in libraries, schools, festivals since 1989. She was featured several times on WGBY-PBS TV, the Connecticut Storytelling Festival, Celebration
Barn, Three Apples and Mark Twain Festivals and from South Carolina to San Francisco. She has three recordings, “Howlarious Halloween” and “Books Are Celebrations,” which won a 1999 NAPPA Gold Award, and an original tale of historical fiction for children, “Missing the Muffin Man.” She is noted for friendliness, energy, lots of variety, interaction and humor.
